Obesity with heat wave

People with type 1 or morbid obesity have less ease of removing and dissipating heat through the circulation, which causes them to sweat much more, lose a lot of fluids and mineral salts, and end up dehydrating quickly.

This propensity to suffer from heat stroke is related to the mechanism of physiological regulation of temperature, which in the case of obese "is altered by the increase in body fat"

BURNOUT FROM OBESITY

Symptoms that heat can cause in people with obesity include feeling tired and exhausted, persistent thirst, cramping in the abdominal area and extremities, low blood pressure, blurred vision, headache and heart disorders.

When the body temperature rises above 40.5 degrees we can be at risk of suffering a heat stroke. In this case, along with the above symptoms, nausea and vomiting, dizziness, fainting, mental confusion or seizures may also occur. At this point the temperature does not usually decrease with the administration of antipyretics and heat stroke can cause death.
